The Centres Chorégraphiques Nationaux support and continuously renew the choreographic arts, by hosting, under the auspices of the accueil studio program (initiated in 1998 by the French Ministry of Culture and Communication) the residencies of companies whose works they are co‑producing.
This hosting of companies is one of the important missions of the nineteen Centres Chorégraphiques Nationaux. This mission is developed by the CCN-Ballet de Lorraine with support from the French Ministry of Culture and Communication – DRAC Lorraine.
The CCN - Ballet de Lorraine remains resolutely open in its hosting of independent companies from the Lorraine region, and other French or foreign companies regardless of their style or their belonging to a specific artistic “family.”
Each company which comes to us in a residency receives financial support, access to studio space, technical and logistical support, artistic and/or administrative counseling, and the possibility of encounters with audiences, with the goal of facilitating exchanges and sharing, in the form of open rehearsals or workshops.
The CCN – Ballet de Lorraine also organizes residencies in partnership with other cultural structures in the region.
